MONTVILLE, NJ – Fujitsu General America, Inc. has signed a lease for 32,000 square feet at 340 Changebridge Road in Montville and will relocate its operations currently located in Fairfield, NJ to the property early next year.

The international cooling and heating solutions company will relocate its US headquarters from 353 Route 46 West Fairfield, NJ. Ben Brenner from Cushman & Wakefield represented the global subsidiary of Fujitsu General in finding and leasing locations with MariaGrace Iantosca from Cushman & Wakefield. He says the move from Fairfield is a remarkable "flight to quality" for Fujitsu General America.

"We look forward to our upcoming move and all of the benefits it will bring to our team and our organization," said Matt Peterson, President of Fujitsu General America. "We appreciate the positive experience the Cushman & Wakefield team has had for us throughout the search and negotiation process."

340 Changebridge Road is owned by Real Capital Solutions. Curtis Foster and Jerry Shifrin of Cushman & Wakefield are serving as exclusive leasing agents for the recently repositioned 100,000 square foot property, which is part of a former Bayer Pharmaceuticals campus off I-80 at Exit 48. Fujitsu General has teamed up with Studio Eagle as an architect and partner as general contractor for its equipment. The company expects an occupancy in early 2020.

"Fujitsu General previously housed its offices and warehouse in a tertiary flex facility," said Brenner, executive director at Cushman & Wakefield. He adds that warehouse operations will be relocated from Fujitsu to Piscataway.

“This new headquarters offers a completely modern Class A environment. The client enabled my team to find a property that would change corporate culture – with a landlord who sees the opportunity to work with one of the world's best-known brands,” explains Burner.
