As a result of the coronavirus pandemic and the measures taken to contain it, the global economic landscape has changed dramatically. The pandemic has hit the economy and disrupted the feeling of normalcy in all aspects of people's work and lives. It was the most confusing event for the economy in decades, disrupting supply chains, severely shifting consumer demand and retail channels, among other things.
While COVID-19 has devastated hotel, office, and retail property assets, it has highlighted the persistence of the commercial property market and accelerated employment in e-commerce and warehousing. The rise in warehouse and warehouse employment reflects a rebound in demand for warehouse space as retailers reevaluate supply chains resulting from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
