POMPANO BEACH, FL – In another clear sign of the strong industrial market in South Florida, a total of 132,798 square meters of leases have fully occupied the new warehouse and distribution center of the Pompano Center of Commerce II here.
Cushman & Wakefield announced six recent leases for the 318,062 square foot complex, which is being developed by Butters Construction & Development in Broward County and consists of three buildings (six, seven and eight).
The Cushman & Wakefield Industrial Brokerage team, comprised of Chris Metzger, Richard F. Etner Jr., Christopher Thomson, and Matthew G. McAllister, represented Pompano Industrial Venture, LLC, a joint development of Butters Construction & Development and an institutional capital partner, in securing rental agreements with Milestone Fertiger, Empire Delivery, Larsen & # 39; s Manufacturing Company, Farco Plastics, Event Effects Group and ATI Electrical Supply.

Milestone Pavers, a family owned company based in South Florida, rented 14,640 square feet in Building 6 for a showroom and distribution warehouse. Dalton Easton of The Easton Group represented Milestone Pavers in the lease negotiations. Empire Delivery, a third-party logistics company for the furniture industry, has rented 26,605 square meters in building seven. Newmark Knight Frank represented Empire Delivery in the lease negotiations.
Larsen & # 39; s Manufacturing Company rented 17,436 square feet of building seven for a manufacturing facility. Larsen & # 39; s has been manufacturing fire protection equipment for worldwide distribution since 1958. The company has two manufacturing facilities, one in Minnesota and one in the Pompano Center of Commerce II. McAllister of Cushman & Wakefield represented Larsen Manufacturing in the lease negotiations. Farco Plastics rented 17,381 square feet in Building Seven. The company sells plastics, adhesives, and sealants to a variety of industries and has six offices in Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee. Crystal Jutte and Steve O’Hara from Mohr Partners negotiated the lease on behalf of Farco Plastics.
In the last two leasing transactions, the Event Effects Group rented 37,786 square meters in Building 8. Event Effects Group is a full service production company providing sound, lighting, décor and furniture for events across South Florida. Whitney Carr-Peterson of Las Olas Real Estate Professionals represented Event Effects in the lease negotiations. ATI Electrical Supply, a distributor of electrical products, has rented 18,950 square meters in Building Eight. Josh Robbie and Zak Mirkowski from Savills represented ATI Electrical Supply in the lease negotiations.
The Pompano Center of Commerce II is a four story warehouse and distribution campus with a total of 376,644 square feet. The one-story buildings in the Pompano Center of Commerce II have clear heights of 24 to 32 inches, ESFR fire protection systems (Early Suppression, Fast Response), LED lighting and dock high-loading.
Three of the buildings have been constructed and the fourth, Building Nine, is currently under construction. The ninth building, with a total area of 61,832 square feet, is expected to deliver in the first quarter of 2020.
