Although technological advances in commercial real estate have historically been slower compared to other industries, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has rapidly spawned new, necessary innovations across the field.
Technological advances, which undeniably affect every aspect of commercial real estate, have proven critical to the industry in recent months due to the mandatory shift to remote working.
Industry professionals are taking the initiative to use big data, artificial intelligence and intelligent mobility to generate and implement improved processes, and show their technological know-how and their ability to adapt quickly.
To better help businesses manage processes and customers and consumers in providing accessibility and ensuring proper security protocols, these professionals are promoting their practices through digital leasing transactions, virtual home tours, communication applications, flexible payment options and in-unit amenities. Crowdfunding platforms, telehealth services, e-commerce fulfillment center tools and more.
The industry has also seen a significant increase in more detailed data and virtual replicas of physical spaces to help property managers better understand and monitor properties using sensors and traffic patterns. With accurate, timely insights, professionals and consumers can better navigate the space and operators can better understand building efficiency.

Who can apply?
The form is open to any person or organization whose primary business is commercial real estate technology.
You can name individuals, teams or organizations. If you are nominating individuals, please do not submit more than five nominees per company. When nominating a team or company, please include only the names and titles of the executives and key members. We encourage you to limit your submissions to nominees who will have an indelible business impact.
When will the problem occur?
GlobeSt. The Real Estate Forum will feature the influencers in CRE technology in the January / February 2021 issue which will be distributed in early February. Influencers are also recognized on GlobeSt.com.
Can I nominate myself?
Yes. We accept self-nominations as well as submissions from third parties.
I was selected as a CRE Tech Influencer last year. Can I apply again this year?
To avoid redundancy, we try to vary the influencers we profile from year to year. However, this is limited to the type of nomination you submit. For example, if your organization or team was previously selected as an influencer, you can submit again this year as an individual. If you were previously selected as an individual influencer, you may be nominated as part of a team or company this year.
