Drucker + Falk Awarded Management of 153-Unit The Walker Luxury Apartment Community in Downtown Cary, North Carolina

CARY, NC – DF Multifamily, a division of Drucker + Falk (DF), one of the best-known multi-family management companies in the country, recently (together with Lee & Associates) leased The Walker Apartments. This new vibrant mixed-use project in hip downtown Cary, North Carolina overlooks Cary Downtown Park. The first apartment houses should be ready in early 2022.

The Walker consists of 153 apartments and commercial spaces for restaurants and retail stores. With so many companies coming to Cary, The Walker will be home to future office developments. Located next to the new state-of-the-art regional library on the corner of Walnut and Kildaire Farm Road, the apartment community features an outdoor pool, high-tech fitness center, dog wash station, billiards room, private workspaces and a penthouse sky lounge, open floor plans and quality finishes. The Walker will also be located next to the soon-to-be-built and legendary Downtown Park in downtown Cary.

The Walker is owned and developed by Academy Park Cary, LLC (APC). APC is a partnership of three Cary families with multiple generations and integrated wealth advisors. The development companies Monument Properties, MacKenan and Triangle Real Estate Company are owned by the Knier, Stephenson and Zahn families. The Walker was designed by Cline Design Associates and is built by Clancy & Theys.

The timing for The Walker couldn't be better as downtown Cary is experiencing a highly anticipated revival. "Downtown Cary has the history of the city and the accessibility, but the security of an authentic small town," says Bill Zahn, the project's main developer. “In addition to upscale restaurants, relaxed breweries, high-ranking schools and cultural icons such as the Cary Art Center and the DTC Park, which is to be built soon, the residents are only a few minutes' walk from all hotspots and are able to enjoy Cary to the fullest as a phenomenal place to live, study, work, train, relax and play.
