This New Jersey Case Hints at What's Next in Workplace Safety Amid COVID-19

State and federal regulations on workplace safety during the COVID-19 pandemic contain sufficiently clear public policy mandates to serve as the basis for a whistleblower complaint. Supreme Court Justice Verna Leath ruled on a lawsuit against Vantage Custom Classics from Avenel, a manufacturer of promotional clothing. She denied a motion from Vantage's attorney to dismiss, alleging that the whistleblower allegation was flawed because it was based on a public policy mandate that was "vague, controversial, unresolved or otherwise problematic".
