BALTIMORE, MD – HASTA Capital has acquired The Zenith, a 21-story A + class skyscraper with 191 units and 6,340 feet of first floor retail in the heart of downtown Baltimore.
The Zenith was built in 2007 and is located next to the University of Maryland Medical Center. It is located directly across from Oriole Park in Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Orioles. Approximately 1/3 of the apartments at Zenith have a stadium view of Camden Yards' ball field.
HASTA is planning extensive renovations to the common areas and amenities, as well as upgrades to the property's residential units. The Zenith is the 7th multi-family takeover from HASTA in the mid-Atlantic region.
“We believe the health and education sectors will continue to be the main drivers of US economic growth. We are planning significant investments in the building and are positioning the Zenith as one of the best places to live in downtown Baltimore, ”said Mark Hafner, CEO of HASTA. "The Zenith is a great example of our strategy to acquire high quality, well-located assets and generate alpha by executing our operational and capital improvement strategies."
"The US multi-family rental sector continued to show resilience in 2020, confirming it as the most attractive commercial real estate investment alternative," said Rodrigo Suarez, COO of HASTA.
