MIAMI, Florida – Prestige Companies laid the foundation stone for The Trail, a new residential community that will house the first part of the five-mile Ludlam Trail in Miami-Dade County. Phase one of the master's project will deliver 84 units on over 2 acres of land on the northwest corner of Southwest 12th Street and Southwest 70th Avenue south of Miami International Airport. The second phase, which includes a retail component and 200 additional units, will follow in the coming months.

The formerly run-down mobile home project will soon be a modern walking and cycling community in one of the most trending projects in the county," said Alexander Ruiz, COO of Prestige Companies. The Trail will be a garden-style apartment building with a mix of stylish 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. While the community will be fully compliant with parking, Prestige Companies believes that walkability and bike-ability will be a huge incentive for a younger generation who prefer to spend less time in their car.
The Ludlam Trail is a new shared trail that includes safe, dedicated, and direct trails for walking, running, and cycling to promote an active lifestyle and improve connectivity between schools, parks, transit stops, workplaces, and shopping. "As one of our flagship developments, this project brings a lot of energy and dynamism to complement the Ludlam Trail vision," said Dennis Rodriguez, Partner at Prestige Companies. The Ludlam Trail runs from SW 80th Street to NW 7th Street and connects to the Underline, a large pedestrian walkway that runs a total of 10 miles from Brickell to Dadeland.
