According to attorneys, the first of its kind in Miami-Dade County is a popular retail store on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach that is still paying rent despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

A force majeure clause is common in rental contracts and can sometimes allow a party not to perform their contract if there is an circumstance beyond their control or a "force majeure" situation.
