DALLAS, TX – Southern Land Company (SLC), a national real estate developer for award-winning mixed-use developments and master-planned communities, hosted a grand opening event at their new luxury high-rise apartment building, Novē in Knox. The community was developed in collaboration with KBS, one of the largest real estate owners in the United States.
SLC employees and partners who were part of the development project attended a reception on the pool deck and lounge on the fourth floor of the property to celebrate the milestone and mark the completion of the project.
While Novē in Knox started welcoming residents in the fall of 2020, SLC held a grand opening ceremony due to the pandemic.
“It has been almost five years since we saw the tremendous opportunity to offer a unique luxury housing solution in this part of Dallas, and it has been a few months since we welcomed the first residents of a year to Novē at Knox who were no one could have predicted, ”said Tim Downey, Founder and CEO of SLC. “It feels great to finally put a feather in the cap on this project and have a real party. We are proud of this property and look forward to being part of the growth and future of the vibrant Knox-Henderson area. "
Following brief comments from Downey, guests enjoyed food and drinks from G Texas Catering and live music from Fort Worth-based duo Danni + Kris. In addition, the guests were given tours of the property by the Novē leasing team to get a first glimpse of the Novē furnishing rooms, model apartments and penthouses.
SLC planned the opening in cooperation with the event management group CSI DMC.
Novē at Knox is the first and only apartment complex in KBS's portfolio in the Dallas area. The company currently manages eight prime office properties in the Dallas / Fort Worth area.
"Novē at Knox is a great example of KBS 'expertise in strategically finding the right companies to partner with multi-family projects," said Brett Merz, Novē asset manager at Knox and senior vice president at KBS. "This grand opening event highlights the growing demand for luxury apartments in the Dallas area."
Novē at Knox was designed by the local company GDA Architects. The 19-story, 310-unit property offers a host of luxurious amenities for the home, including high-efficiency stainless steel appliances, personal washers and dryers, granite countertops, 10-foot ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive views of the city. Additional amenities available to all residents include 10,000 square feet of private open space connected to McKinney Avenue; a resort-style pool on the fourth floor with a large sundeck, outdoor kitchen, and private cabanas; a fully equipped fitness center and yoga studio; a dog park and a washing station; and 24 hour concierge service.
SLC developed and operates other multi-family and single-family communities in neighboring Collin County, including Morada Plano and Tucker Hill (McKinney). In addition, SLC developed and sold the multi-family communities Junction 15 (Plano) and The Lofts at Watters Creek (Allen). SLC plans to lay the foundation stone for a luxury high-rise apartment building project in Fort Worth later this year.
