Florida High Court Blocks Recreational Marijuana Initiative From Appearing on Ballot

The Florida Supreme Court advised the attorney general on Thursday to abolish a constitutional initiative to legalize recreational cannabis, regulate it like alcohol, and allow citizens 21 and older to grow it for personal use.

The judges ruled in their opinion to Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody that the ballot paper was misleading to voters. They noted that the proposed change does not restrict marijuana use, "but the vote summary tells voters otherwise".
