The first case heard in Philadelphia over talcum powder allegedly linked to ovarian cancer should come before a jury early next week, but that is no longer the case after Johnson & Johnson withdrew the lawsuit in federal court.

Earlier Thursday, Johnson & Johnson, which received billions of dollars in verdicts on its talc products, ruled the Kleiner v. Rite Aid case in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The case had been heard in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas from August 2nd.
