Bayer AG filed its prospective petition with the US Supreme Court in hopes of a judgment that could limit future lawsuits over its pesticide Roundup.
Monday's petition, filed by former US Attorney General Seth Waxman, co-chair of the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, is an important part of Bayer's strategy to resolve thousands of Roundup-related lawsuits who continue to do business with no warning on the product label that the pesticide could cause non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
