Plaintiffs, who are preparing for a talcum powder trial against Johnson & Johnson next month, filed an urgency motion Tuesday to prevent the company's potential bankruptcy filing, which would set their lawsuit and potentially tens of thousands of other cases off.
Four law firms have filed urgent restraining orders and injunctions and petitions in equity in the 22nd Missouri Judicial Circuit Court in St. Louis on behalf of three women due to appear on trial on Sept. 7 they contracted ovarian cancer through talcum powder products from Johnson & Johnson.
