California AG Prosecutes Organized Retail Theft Ring Charged With Stealing Extra Than $1M From JCPenney, Sam’s Membership

California Attorney General Rob Bonta has charged four people for their alleged roles in an “organized retail theft ring” that stole more than $1 million in jewelry from JCPenney and Sam’s Club stores across nine California counties.

During a press conference Friday, Bonta announced felony guilty pleas against two ring leaders, Anton Salaam and Marion Paul Tilley, as well as charges filed against two other individuals.
